"Hi, Aileen. I just had to email you and tell you how much I love your thank you card. It’s beautiful, functional and environmentally friendly all wrapped up in one."
YAY!!! SOMEbody noticed!!
And if anyone would be awesome enough to notice, of course it was the sweet guest who sent me the above note. I actually wrote back and said "beautiful, functional and environmentally friendly all wrapped up in one"..... just like US!! haha! seriously I just love that description!
If you've had the pleasure of receiving one of our thank you cards (and apologies if you haven't, we're writing each one with care so it is taking us awhile-- we are more than halfway down the list though and I am on a tight schedule so all of them should be out soon!)
So the company we ordered from, ForeverFiances is a company I've been in love with ever since we started looking at wedding invitations. Alex thought the uniqueness would be lost on most people, and after a small sampling with a test group here in Hawaii, I found he was right. The handmade paper FF uses is embedded with either wildflower or herb seeds so that when you plant it, it grows something pretty! How nice right?! I thought wedding invitations that grew wildflower seeds were a nice touch to the "spring" theme of our wedding, until after much discussion Alex convinced me that if people got it and planted the invite for spring then they wouldn't have info for the wedding and if people didn't get it then they'd be annoyed by the long paper. I countered that even if they were stupid enough to not get it then at least it would grow flowers in the landfill that they ended up in after people threw them in the trash,... in any case, I love you FF and having the company do our thank you cards was a sweet compromise.
